Cushing's Disease in Dogs
Cushing’s disease in dogs is the name given for the over production of natural cortisone by an over active adrenal gland.
Symptoms of Cushing's Disease include:
- bloated abdomen
- thinning hair coat
- excess drinking
- excess urinating
In the vast majority of cases the over active adrenal gland results from a tumor in another gland called the pituitary gland located at the base of the brain. The condition progresses with growth of the tumor.
Burns Brown Rice & Chicken and Burns Brown Rice & Ocean Fish will help in enabling the whole body to function more normally.
The herb Ginko biloba has been shown to reduce the production of natural cortisone in dogs with Cushing's disease.
Addison's Disease
Addison's disease is the very opposite of Cushing's disease in dogs. The adrenal gland under produces natural cortisone.
